Lailah at 9 months old

While we lump "the girls" together as a unit pretty often, the two of them continue to be as different as 2 kids can be.  It continues to amaze me that 2 kids that came from the same place at the same time can be so different.  We really scored getting two totally different, but equally awesome kids.
Standing!

Here is our little Lollypop at 9 months old:
Weight: 19lbs, 4oz - 78th percentile
Height: 2' 5" - 90th percentile
She has 8 very sharp teeth.
Favorite Food: just about anything, but particularly fond of anything she can feed herself: Avocado, puffs, cheerios, bananas.
Least Favorite Food: Milk / bottles (except at 2 in the morning, when she LOVES them : /)
Favorite activities: Anything with mommy.  Getting into trouble.
Goes by: Lollipop, Lolly, Lala, Lollypants, Lolly Lou, Lou Lou, Lollydoodles
A rare moment sitting still for a bottle
with her doting cousin Jacob
Best described as the girl who never sits still.  Eats EVERYTHING she can get into her mouth.  Sees a new item and crawls towards it with her mouth open, drooling and grunting until she gets it.  To see her move around is hysterical.  She has discovered she can get anywhere she pleases and it makes her so happy.  She smiles and squeals the entire time she is moving.  Her mobility is a bit of a trick though since she likes to eat everything and she is a bit precocious.  My house may be child proofed, but it is not Lailah proofed.  We are making modifications every day.
Lailah is mercifully moving away from the screech and is starting to talk and sign.  She babbles a lot and is saying mom and puff.  She is also signing (mostly for food).
Lailah is a social butterfly. She is happiest to be out and about or when there are lots of people over.  She is quick to smile when people talk to her and loves to show off her teeth.  While she likes almost everyone, she is particularly attached to her mommy right now.  This is both flattering and frustrating.
Refuses to sit with everyone else for a picture.  She needs
to be as close to mommy as possible.
She may smile a lot, but she is also very impatient and has a bit of a temper.
She scoots, crawls and can pull herself to standing...especially well when she should be sleeping.
She marches to the beat of her own drum.  She doesn't like to be contained.  When she wants to do something it is hard to contain her.  She is laser focused.  It is tough, but also so great to see her get so much pleasure in her mobility and discovery of so many things.
She is still so very beautiful, but seems to take some of the goofiest pictures you have ever seen.  She is so expressive.  She makes us laugh every day.
