Our kids are very lucky to have 6 grandparents. Each set lives in a different city and none live in San Jose. Occasionally, we have a situation where more than one set is in town at the same time. This happened recently for Tegan and Lailah's first birthday party. My parents and Shay's mom and step dad all wanted to come. This could be a situation where all of the grandparents were vying for baby time. Luckily, the grandparent overlap is no problem when you have twins. There is always an extra baby for them to fawn over.
As a corollary to reason #36, twins are also great when your friend comes by to see your baby and they are asleep. You never have to pretend to be sorry that you finally soothed your overtired, ridiculously grumpy baby to sleep just before your friend showed up. Baby asleep, no problem, her sister just woke up. It's like having a stunt double of cuteness ready to step in at any time.
